Step by Step: Building a Web 2.0 Classroom By Drew Murphy

I watched Drew Murphy‘s Step by Step: Building a Web 2.0 Classroom on the K12 Online conference. I enjoyed watching this presentation. Drew made it very interesting to watch and listen to. He brought in characters from his class web site, which gave some comic relief. What I really liked about this presentation is that he shows you where to start with new teachers, or people in general, when introducing Web 2.0. He said that the first thing you should do is sign up for an account, such as youtube, and comment on someone else’s work. By doing something this simple as a first step it shows new people the basics and helps to build confidence that they can work with Web 2.0. Then he continued on to explain that people should be shown how to tab rather than windowing, bookmark, cut/paste, upload images, link, use a slide show, and enbed and Iframe. He went over the basics step by step. The presentation was both informative and entertaining.
